What You Will Do: As a Boating Care Specialist, you'll be an integral part of our team responsible for the care of boats in our service department, the marina, the boat rental fleet, and boating club fleet. Your responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring that all our boats are well maintained prior, during and after service, which involves launching, mooring, cleaning, covering, etc. 
  • Assist with commissioning and decommissioning of our fleet, handling tasks such as moving, blocking, shrink-wrapping and similar.
  • Contribute to various projects within the service department such as assisting technicians in repairs, maintenance of the department, and similar. 
  • Independently and carefully move boats and equipment including trailering, transporting, blocking, launching.
  • Providing support to the Service Department, Boat Club, Boat Rental, and our valued Marina guests.
  • Maintain accurate work records, notes, and reporting changes to technicians and managers.
  • Work as part of a much larger team, all enrolled in creating a safe and fun boating experience. 

What Skills You Need:
  • Initiative and a strong work ethic in varying working conditions and situations.
  • Ability to skillfully utilize hand tools and small power tools.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as tractor, hydraulic trailers, trucks, and trailers.
  • Willingness to learn, grow and expand your skills.
  • Skills for maintaining boats, with a keen attention to cleanliness and details.
  • Operating powerboats up to 30ft.
  • Customer-centric mindset and awareness of the end result of collaborative teamwork
  • Good safety consciousness and situational awareness.

  • You have experience with (or the genuine interest and ability to learn) piloting boats around marina, hauling/launching, trailering, tractor use

We are looking for applicants who are seeking full time work, flexibility to occasionally work overtime, as workload could vary with the season. This is a year-round position.  You’ll be exposed to both indoor and outdoor tasks in seasonal weather conditions, both around the marina and on the water.  Advancement opportunities and salary increases are available and encouraged. Hourly rates range from $16 to $22 based on experience, ability, and how well suited to role plus additional incentives and bonuses. Qualified team members can receive health care benefits, a retirement plan with a company contribution, sick time, and paid vacation after 90 days.
