We are seeking a Service Manager in Lake Hopatcong to oversee a distinctive marine Service Department for a select number of boaters who’s boats we oversee. This role is a communication link between guests and our company during the process of servicing guests’ boats at various times of the year. This role oversees and manages a specialized service team who maintains and repairs our guests’ boats as well as the company’s fleet of new model boats. Bridge Marina has the good fortune of a friendly clientele roster as well as a welcoming and collaborative team environment. The Service Team works in conjunction with all company departments in efforts to deliver a safe, fun, and reliable time on the water for all our guests, regardless of how they boat with us.
This role offers the chance to work closely with boating and waterside activities. This position is ideal for those who enjoy a dynamic work environment, are interested in providing excellent service, working with people, and who enjoys recreational boating. The nature and level of work varies with the seasons, including both busy and quiet seasons, keeping the job interesting and engaging throughout the year. You will receive support, as well as training in boating and marine skills, customer service, and numerous other skills to operate in the marina environment.
Service Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Communication: you will engage in daily interactions with guests and team members through face-to-face meetings, emails, texts, and phone calls to understand and address any questions, comments, or concerns. Consistent and regular communication essential for the best results in this position.
- Workflow Supervision: Oversee the daily and weekly workflows and schedules of the Service Team. This involves relaying work orders, schedules, and directives for implementation, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Safety Management: Maintain overall shop safety and delegate responsibilities to ensure the safety of each team member daily.
- Computer Work: Manage administrative tasks such as preparing estimates, work orders, invoices, and communicating via emails and texts.
- Team Relations: Maintain a close, friendly, and team-oriented relationship with all other departments within the marina, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Flexibility: While this role is primarily office-based, involving regular use of technology, at times it will also require you to be outdoors throughout the marina on the docks, boats etc.

- Familiarity with and interest in recreational boats and working on and around the water.

Requirements
- 2-3 years similar or applicable experience.
- A valid clean automobile driver’s license.
- Good health and good physical mobility
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen.
- Work indoors and out in various conditions.
This position is a full-time year-round position. We provide health care benefits, retirement plan with company contribution, paid vacation, paid sick time, team events, and opportunity for additional rewards and perks such as boating access, winter holiday breaks, and more. Scheduling is 5-days a week Monday-Friday nominally 8:30a-5:30p. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Salary range is $55,000-$65,000 per year.
